A Sure Sign from the Lord
by Dea Warford

I was seated in my prayer chair early one morning when my cell phone rang for just one quick fraction of a ring and then stop-ped. (I knew someone had accidentally called my number). Looking to see who had called, I was very surprised to discover it was from Ed Traut, a prophet who lives in San Antonio, TX. We had talked on the phone in 2023, but hadn’t since. I have been seeking the Lord earnestly for guidance for months now, as you know. In my spirit I believed this was a God-ordained “accident.” I texted Ed back right away and told him that I felt this was not coincidental, and hoped the Holy Spirit allowed this so he could possibly give me a prophetic word.

When I pastored in Hawaiian Gardens, CA, 1984-1995, Ed came to our church to speak and give prophetic words. He showed what a “read your mail” prophet he is when he told us that our girl Carissa (maybe 8 at the time) was going to be “highly educated.” (She plans to receive her Ph.D. this March!)

Ed had prophesied previously over my sister Elaine and her husband Thomas Jaramillo. Their two sons, Jardon and Joseph, were with them. Ed asked, “Are these your only children?” Elaine affirmed the were.

Ed told them,

“A girl is going to come to your home, but I don’t know if you’re going to give birth to her.”

So, in our meeting at my church sometime later, my sister was there with two nieces that my brother had taken into his home because his son had separated from his wife. Elaine told the prophet that the youngest was up in the nursery (she had expected to adopt her). But the oldest was visible there in the sanctuary. When Ed saw the older girl nearby, he said, “That’s the one.” And yes, she ended up being adopted by the Jaramillos!

So, while I was in my prayer chair that morning, this true prophet of God hits the wrong button, but the call goes to the right person, ME!

A few hours later, while working out at the gym, Ed called me back and said God had given him a word for me. He didn’t really remember much about me, but he knew I was an evangelist.

Here is part of the word (as best I remember it):

“The ministry that you’re in now is coming to an end. And God is bringing you into a new ministry.”

I have written for months about my desire to win the lost and the fact that it has become increasingly more difficult to schedule revivals in churches and to get unbelievers and the unchurched out to church services.

I seek to win the Lost, pray for the sick, and minister deliverance to the oppressed. I have written books and preached in hundreds of churches across all 50 states and in some foreign nations. I have a prayer ministry, visit the infirm, counsel many, and write internet devotionals. I don’t know which aspect of “the ministry that you’re in now” is going to be changed dramatically, but I am pretty sure, because my calling is that of an evangelist and a “miracle worker,” that whatever “new ministry” God opens up for me will help me win more souls and see more miracles.

Prophets and apostles around the nation are prophesying the coming greatest harvest in the history of Earth, and it is coming very soon! I KNOW Warford Ministries is going to be a part of that! Be a part with us by continuing to pray and support Kathy’s and my ministry, and Nathan’s as well. Expect a miracle for the church, for America, for Japan, for Warford Ministries evangelistic work, and for yourself! It’s coming soon!

EXPECT A MIRACLE!

Nathan Warford’s Report from Japan…(See below after article)
Greetings, dear friends!

As I hinted at in my previous newsletter, big changes are on the horizon! Through months of prayer, counseling, and vision casting, God has led me to a decision.

I am moving to Osaka!

Osaka, Japan, is not only where I began my ministry in Japan but also where I have felt God leading me for years. While I didn’t know the exact timing, I believe God has revealed NOW is the perfect time. I received a prophecy regarding my ministry, spouse, and specific people being there for me. Others have affirmed this call on my life and the door had opened wide!

While I visited there in Osaka last month, I had incredible favor, connections, and open doors. The church I will be working alongside was the same church I served in 18 years ago with many of the same people and pastor. It’s a Foursquare church! The YWAM Izumi team I will be joining is full of people who have a heart for church planting and raising up young leaders like I do.

There is opportunity for English teaching and serving with university students which I have a heart for and experience in. (I taught English as a second language to foreign students at Hope University in California).

Here is also an open door for me to join special training for church planting with the “Full Nets” Discipleship making movement. The door is wide open, and by the time you read this I will have moved from Tokyo to the Osaka area!

The vision for the next few months is as follows. First, I will be vision-casting with the team and serving the local church’s school as well as connecting with other schools and students in the area. Then in later November I will be attending the training and learning what has worked for thousands across Asia to build churches and leaders.

I hope to recruit new team members throughout this time. Then, I return to California in December to speak in several churches, connect with supporters and pastors, and fundraise.

I will return to Osaka in early January to fully begin the church planting vision. I will be attending language school while also finding a new place to live. My vision is to get a big enough place with a large living room to host Bible studies, prayer and worship nights, and community gatherings.

I want my home to be a “house of prayer” where people can come anytime to receive prayer, encouragement and discipleship.

Simultaneously, I will be empowering my disciples to begin holding Bible studies in their own communities across the city and through this proven model begin to see multiplication of leaders and churches.

I will be prayer walking and evangelizing in my local community while also serving in local schools of the area. In the Spring, we’ll begin “Alpha” which will train seekers and new believers in the truth of the Gospel

In September, there will be a Discipleship Training School with a focus on Japanese Christians and a potential outreach to other parts of Japan or even Papua New Guinea (where our YWAM team leaders have experience)

As you can see, my focus will be on three things: supporting local Japanese churches, raising up and developing leaders in the church, and evangelizing in the local community while also focusing on language study. The vision is great and far behind my abilities, but God has proven that He is in it!

The next few months and next year will be incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to share with you even more of what God is doing. In next month’s newsletter I will be able to give you even more specifics of what’s to come as well as how you can give, pray, or participate in what is happening.

For now, please pray for me. Pray for protection, ease of transition, and further open doors. Also pray that I clearly hear God’s voice leading as there are still many decisions to be made.

Many of you have been with me on this

journey in missions and Japan since the

beginning and I cannot thank you enough for your continued support and commitment to God’s call. Others of you may have joined me recently, and I also thank you greatly for your following God to participate in His heart for this beautiful nation. Buckle up, the next few months and next year will be big and you can or are directly a part of it!

Much love and appreciation,

Your Missionary Evangelist, Nathan Warford
