30 Years of Evangelism
It was 30 years ago, this month (July) 1995, that Dea, Kathy, Carissa, and Nathan left our pastorate in Los Angeles County and headed out pulling our 35-ft. trailer for a 17-week itinerary around the United States. Eventually we would minister in all 50 states and several foreign countries.
As you scroll further down the page, you’ll see a picture of a map of the USA with little red dots in cities where Warford Ministries brought the gospel on the wings of the prayer and financial support of churches, pastors, and people who caught our vision! Other cities have been added to this map in the last 10 years since it was taken.
For this month’s SERMON OF THE MONTH, I wanted to recount some of our adventures and highlights over these past 3 decades. Sometimes Paul preached a message and sometimes he gave a testimony of things God did for and through him. This is my testimony…
For 2 years, we parked our trailer in RV parks or often next door to churches. Kathy homeschooled the kids, and I studied, prayed, and preached, often using the church for my temporary office (sometimes a Sunday School room!). Oh, how many times I paced around the church sanctuary praying for the power!
In 1997, we bought our first home in Victorville, CA and lived there for nearly a decade. I began flying extensively for crusades across the nation. After 3 rentals in various cities in Southern California, we at last purchased our present home in Pomona.
Kathy currently does not travel with me frequently because she is engaged in a ministry working with children at the Santa Fe Springs, CA Foursquare Church. Soon, however, we expect to once again travel together in ministry (God uses her in the gifts of the Spirit, counseling, and deliverance!).
Our daughter, Carissa, lives 200 feet from us in the same condominium complex with her husband, Andy, and two sons, Luke 12, and Caden 9. She is a Dean of Students and professor at LIFE Pacific University in nearby San Dimas. She will complete her studies for her Ph.D. from Liberty University next April, Lord willing. God uses her in counseling youth, and with the gifts of the Spirit, she prophetically ministers to them as well. God has also given her a deliverance ministry.
Andy is a professor also at LIFE, and a sought-after expert on digital film making.
Nathan received from Biola University, his master’s degree in “International Studies” (a euphemism for Missions Studies, to make it easier to get into nations that don’t want foreign religion’s influence in their country). He is now a missionary evangelist helping a “Youth with a Mission” team evangelize and plant churches in Japan. Warford Ministries (with your help) supports him.
Though Kathy’s and my primary ministry is to the United States, we held missionary crusades in Tours, France, Nagaland, India, and helped Foursquare International plant a church in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica. We expect to minister also in Tokyo in the future.
During Covid19, the Lord began using me to write books. So far, I have published four: Evangelist; My Life Story; Miracles are Your Destiny; About the Future; and Revelation: End Times Guidance. My daily email teachings are sent out to thousands of potential readers. I also am an intercessor for many and provide counseling and special prayer for those who text or email me. Please text or email me if I can help you in any way!

(Note: the bigger red dots are cities where I was either minister of youth, or pastored. The smaller cities are where I have preached the gospel!)
Report from Your Missionary Evangelist, Nathan Warford…
This past month I’ve connected with many churches, ministries, and Christians throughout Tokyo. By visiting other ministries I’ve learned how they reach the Japanese and to partner with them. Recently, I was able to do a prayer walk around the red-light district of Tokyo with people from Zoe International which seeks to bring awareness and to fight the stronghold of human trafficking both on the street and at a legislative level. As I walked with them, I learned that Japan is a level 2 nation meaning the government does not acknowledge or do anything to help the issue of trafficking. Yakuza gangs continue to funnel people both from inside and outside Japan to brothels. Breakthroughs are happening and people are being reached!
I met with several evangelists throughout the city who, like us, are witnessing on the streets. One groupwas evangelizing at the Tokyo Pride (LGBTQ) event and I learned more how to reach this community. I visited several new churches including a church called “Shinjuku Shalom” which seeks to send out evangelists and train up Japanese. Another, “Kaleo Gospel Church” is working with universities to provide Bible studies and Christian focused events. My heart is to reach more students. Beyond networking I’ve continued to evangelize while also investing in my disciples. I was able to evangelize alongside my disciple and his friend, a newer believer who had formerly experienced a radical conversion. He had little experience in witnessing but he shadowed me and was eager to both pray over and share the Gospel with many people throughout the park. His passion was inspiring, and I was excited to hear that he hopes to move to Tokyo soon and may join our church!
I am incredibly excited for what God continues to do and the doors which are opening! Please keep praying for favor, the right connections, and protection over myself and my team. Recently our Saturday service addressed prophecy and our church desires to be more empowered with the Holy Spirit and in spiritual gifts. Finally, through prayer I believe now is good timing for me to return home briefly for a few weeks to reconnect with family, meet up with and report to supporters and future supporters, speak in churches, and encourage others to join me in this mission.
Please pray for safe travels home and a fruitful missionary furlough. I look forward to what’s next! Thank you again for your prayers, financial support, and for reading! It is the greatest blessing knowing I have you with me on this mission to Japan!
Your missionary evangelist, Nathan Warford
