People for Your Life
“They are gift to you, given by the Lord, to do the work” (Num. 18:6 NKJV).
This month, I want to share how God uses people to help move us into our destiny. I am primarily speaking of people that the Lord brought into my life, my son Nathan’s life, and Warford Ministries. The word that best describes such people is…GIFT!
Num. 18:6, above, refers to the Levites, who were given as a “gift” to Israel to intercede on their behalf. It was human beings who were the gift! My brother-in-law, Thomas, has been a gift to me through the years. He traveled with me to help me minister in churches on many occasions over the years. He is a generous financial supporter of Warford Ministries. And he is always a phone call away as a counselor and intercessor when needed.
My sister, Elaine, Thomas’s wife, is also a person who is my lifelong friend and confidant. Before my wife, Kathy, came along, she was always my intimate friend and supporter. For years, we traveled together as a team ministering around America. She as a prophet, and I as the evangelist. She is a faithful financial supporter for Nathan in Japan as well!
Jerome Smith met me many years ago when I preached in his church. He became a financial supporter (still today, and also of Nathan) and eventually a personal friend. He and his wife, Susan, have a television program (I have been on it, introducing one of my books with them in the studio they use for filming, which goes internationally on YouTube and Facebook). Jerome has an honorary doctorate and teaches Bible classes for End Times Ministry International Bible University. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Warford Ministries. He was instrumental in Nathan being ordained into the Ministry. Of course, my son is already ordained in the Lord’s eyes, but now he will be in the eyes of the IRS, which is important for Nathan to receive the tax deductions given to pastors and missionaries for housing and other expenses. (Your gifts to Nathan via Warford Ministries will now go farther without him having to pay so much to the government!)
Silver Fisher, I met at a supermarket while pastoring in the L.A. area. I told him that we prayed from 5-6 AM 6 days a week at our church. He was in pursuit of God, and lived nearby, so he started praying with us. We became lifelong friends. He wrote a book (pictured) about God’s miracles in his life. He is a financial supporter of Warford Ministries (also of Nathan), a mighty man of prayer, and is a board member for this ministry!
Andy Hawksworth… is my son-in—law. Carissa and Andy celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on July 13. He gave Kathy and me two wonderful grandsons. He is also a genius and helps me with many computer and cellphone problems that are hard for us older folks to figure out! (Ha, ha!). Besides his work as a professor at LIFE Pacific University, and numerous videography assignments, he is also on the Board of Directors for Warford Ministries.
Kathy Warford, my wife of 54 years (She was about 20 at the time), maintains a low profile for Warford Ministries, but is an indispensable team member of this ministry. She records checks we receive in the mail, deposits them, and helps keep President Dea from doing stupid things! She rarely travels with me now because she is such an important staff member working with children at the Florence Ave. Foursquare Church, Santa Fe Springs, California. She is also a board member and the Secretary/Treasurer of Warford Ministries, and my boss! If you don’t like something I said or did, let her know, and believe me, she will straighten me out, but won’t hesitate to correct you if you are the one who’s wrong (ha, ha!).See how each one of us can be a “gift” to help other people do the work!
